The Installation Process

Installing artificial grass can be very simple, with the right tools and some DIY skills, laying synthetic turf is a quick and painless excercise. Follow our simple gallery guide below for tips and advice on the installation of artificial lawn.

Some tips;

1. You cannot lay on top of old grass. This must be removed and all traces of grass roots must not be present.

2.If there is no natural edge for instance a path or fence line it may be beneficial to fix a wooden perimeter.

3.If you have bad drainage a type 1 aggragate may be required to be laid, this will also firm up the sub base for easier installation.

4. A good builders sand will also assist with drainage and levelling.

5. An anti-weed membrane helps prevent unwanted weeds coming through, these are supplied free with orders over 100 Sq Metres.

6. Use a whacker to level off, ideally you would like a slight slope on the base to allow for run off.

7.Always use the correct tape or glue for joins and finishing.

8.Lastly we advise to install on a sunny day and use quality gloves.
